About

Hello everyone,

My name is Michael, and I created this blog in 2021 to provide people with a place where I can help answer their questions and suggest solutions to their problems. The internet offers valuable information, but sometimes it can be challenging to sort out which sources are trustworthy. When you want the perspective of someone who has been through something similar to what you’re currently going through, there may not be anyone you can turn to for good advice.

Many of us feel overwhelmed and unsatisfied with our work and careers, wondering why we aren’t more successful. I often felt that way and still do sometimes. I want to share the lessons I’ve learned about becoming more productive, effective, and happy. I want to serve my readers by helping them make better decisions that will lead them to achieve their most ambitious goals.

How I got to where I am today

I immigrated to the United States of America from Venezuela when I was 23 years old. Economic instability in my home country made it difficult for me to thrive, so I came to the US to start over and be more productive and fruitful. I was scared to move here because I didn’t know any English, but I was confident that I could courageously pursue my dreams and overcome the challenges I’d face.

I’ve made countless mistakes along the way, but from these failures, I’ve learned countless important lessons that I am eager to share. When I first arrived here in the United States, although I didn’t speak English very well, I understood the language of business, thanks to my experiences and successes back home in Venezuela. I wanted to start a new business, but since my English skills weren’t up to par, I felt I needed a partner who can speak the language fluently. I planned to find somebody else with experience to help me get the startup off the ground. I spent two years working hard to grow this business, but ultimately, I couldn’t make it work.

I kept trying to improve my mastery of the language, but whenever I would make a little progress with my English skills, a new challenge would emerge that derailed me from achieving my goals. I never seemed to be able to catch any breaks, and every time I felt like I was on the path of success, something unexpected would come up and send me back to square one.

I tried again to create a new business with a new partner, but again we couldn’t pull it together. From these difficult experiences, I learned the value of having good and healthy relationships. If I had learned this lesson sooner, I’d probably be in a much better place today. However, even though these partnerships didn’t work out for me, I’m grateful for the insights I gained, which allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of what it means to be successful in life. I learned that even if you have all the right tools and resources, if you’re unable to collaborate with people who are the right fit for you, and you for them, the business will suffer.

After these failed businesses, I decided to dedicate some time to learn more about the English language before starting something else. I bought several books on English grammar and started reading them every day. At first, it was very frustrating to struggle so much with a foreign language. I wondered why I couldn’t just pick up the nuances of the English language the way others seemed to be able to. What I didn’t yet understand at that time was that any new language takes a lot of energy and practice in order to become fluent in it.

As frustrating as it was, I continued to study diligently day after day. Sometimes I felt like giving up because it would take me so long to understand certain concepts, but I found that if I stayed with it and kept working at it consistently, eventually, I would get there.

I still struggle with my English sometimes. I continue seeking out new ways to improve my grammar, and I still get nervous sometimes when speaking in critical situations, but I’m so grateful for having learned this new language. Without it, I’m certain that my life would be totally different now.

Once I understood the language better, I was able to find better opportunities to advance myself toward my entrepreneurial aspirations. In 2017, I became a 3rd party Amazon seller. By 2019, I was ready to start a marketing agency, where I’ve seen my greatest successes yet.

Through all these hardships, I’ve learned a lot about business, as well as life in general. I created this blog because so much of what I’ve read on the internet has misled me and gotten me off track. While some great articles out there might help entrepreneurs get inspired, I find that most of the information out there focuses too much on vague theory or tells you what must be done without explaining why. Often this “advice” is completely useless, or even worse, tragically wrong and misguided.

Also, from my own experiences, I’ve learned that people don’t always tell you the whole story or, at the very least, don’t always give you the crucial details that would allow you to avoid mistakes. I want you readers to be able to read this blog and get honest advice from someone who has struggled with similar challenges and who has also made his fair share of mistakes.

As an entrepreneur myself, I understand how important it is to keep trying. Sometimes we fail, but it doesn’t mean we should give up. We can always try again. Failure is not how your story needs to end, as long as you learn from your mistakes and keep trying until you get there.

With this blog, I aim to give you the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed decisions that should help move your business forward. You can achieve your dreams. I believe in you!
